Today marked my first birthday since buying our own home in Currarong. Even though it was a work day I managed to make the most of the midday sun with a trip to Dolphin Reserve and a swim out through Currarong Creek into the ocean.
We walked from the front door to the edge of the creek in under 10 minutes and spent 15 minutes enjoying a birthday swim in the clear water before heading back.
While I had a quick shower to get ready for the afternoon Felipe made me lunch.
It was a simple but perfect way to celebrate. There is something special about being able to fit a trip to Dolphin Reserve into a standard lunch hour and it makes me appreciate our decision to buy into this community even more.
It was a very good birthday.
