I am finally getting around to mapping out (that makes me sound rather organised – which I distinctly do not feel like) the look for the Currarong house.
The feature photo is the original lino floor. It has been there forever, but the hexagonal pattern and the mustard tones are actually a great starting point. Quite groovy. Also quite tired.


Here is another section I rather like:
This is some fabric I picked up ages ago because I liked the colours – having no idea what I might do with them. Looking at them together now, the stripes of green, orange, and charcoal fit perfectly with the floor. It is funny how things you buy on a whim eventually find their place. They also remind me that I am a tragic 60’s and 70’s music/style fan.
It is a good reminder to work with what is already there rather than overcomplicating things.
